Position Summary
The Admissions Recruiter is responsible for recruiting prospective students to the University of Incarnate Word's School of Rehabilitation Sciences (SRS). This position will also assist with prospective student events, applications and application/matriculation fees, matriculation processes, alumni engagement, and creation of promotional materials. The Admissions Recruiter reports to the Director of Enrollment.
Note that this position is expected to travel within the U.S. at least 25% of the time in an official recruitment capacity.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to travel 25-75% of time locally, regionally, and nationally, depending on the time of year, especially during peak periods.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in multi-tasking with excellent follow-through.
- Self-motivated; strong assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS), Data Management Systems, and CRMs.
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Required Work Experience
Two (2) cumulative years of related professional work experience in recruitment for higher education admissions, or other relevant area. Note that experience in a professional-level position within the health professions field will be considered, such as a physical therapist, occupational therapist, or athletic trainer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a related health professions school or higher education setting to include in student affairs.
- Experience in the development and implementation of a marketing/recruitment plan for university and high school students.
- Experience with Recruit, Banner, and Centralized Application Services (CAS).
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
- Must have a valid driver license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.
- Valid driver’s license, REAL ID compliant, as required for airline travel.
Work Hours
Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours and some weekends as needed, especially during peak periods, to meet departmental goals.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. of office/marketing materials.
- Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time.
- Ability to regularly move about campus and event venues to actively engage faculty/staff/donors/guests/(potential/current) students, as well as attend meetings on and off campus.
